Exuberant and full of secrets.... With its thousand and one faces, that corner of the world breathed was different, a unique magic born of nature and the imprint of those who had called it home, refuge and source of inspiration. There where the last emir of Granada found retirement accompanied by his beloved Morayma...
Leaving from Malaga city centre, we will set off along the Malacian and Nasrid coast with a clear goal: the Alpujarra of Granada. A mountain region where the landscape sets the pace of the journey, and where history—between roads, gorges and white villages—still lives on in the details.
Our first stop will take us to Tablate, the natural and historical entrance to this territory. A strategic passage for centuries, where traces of time can still be felt and where we can expect a few “abandoned” surprises that speak of other eras and of the importance this corridor once had in connecting the coast with the Alpujarra.
We will continue on to Lanjaron, making a brief stop as we begin to discover the secrets of the cultural mix that shapes the identity of the region. Between water, tradition and mountains, this pause helps us tune into the Alpujarras spirit before we continue climbing.
Our last stop will take us up to the heights to visit Pampaneira, one of the Most Beautiful Villages of Spain. We will walk through its streets, its history and its aromas, letting ourselves be carried away by its atmosphere and charming corners. And to regain our strength, we will have the opportunity to enjoy some local flavours before heading back to Malaga, ending a day of contrasts between sea and mountains.
