Land of Contrasts: Ronda & Setenil de las Bodegas
The old stories spoke of the people who inhabited the rock, home to those who said they were impossible to conquer. Some almost flew over it in the heights, while for others it was their sky... The advance of time would be the only one capable of discerning what those words would have of truth...
This semi-private experience will take us through truly striking places, as much for their own nature as for their history, leaving us with images that stay in the memory. Land of bandits, bold flavours, all wrapped in a truly unique and different environment.
Departing from Malaga city centre, we will head inland until we reach Setenil de las Bodegas, in the province of Cadiz. Its rock-sculpted landscape immediately catches our attention: houses built into the mountain, streets sheltered under huge stone walls, and corners that seem almost impossible. Walking through Setenil will take us to some of its most iconic spots, such as Calle Cueva de las Sombras or Calle Cueva del Sol, among others.
And from one place defined by its orography, to another. We return to Malaga province to reach Ronda. Imposing, full of history and legends. As we lose ourselves in its narrow streets and viewpoints, we will discover the story of such outstanding places as the New Bridge of Ronda, symbol of the city and natural gateway over the gorge. And what can we say about the striking House of the Moorish King?
